my performance activities this week

Tuesday 2: The Baitong Ukulele Circle, 7.30 – 9 pm. A chance for uke players of all levels, from beginner to over-achiever, to come and share, learn, show off, whatever… over a civilised drink or two. Bring a uke if you have one, bring two if you have two! For those of you who have none, there is at least one spare…… Baitong, #7, St 360. Technically it’s not really performance, but it’s a public activity, so….. for more information:

Thursday 4: 4th of July celebrations at Alley Cat, off St 19, with specials, excitement, and a hotdog eating contest. I’ll be sticking to the American songbook for the occasion, and might even do some of those songs I always refuse. Sometimes I get an extra e, this time I get quotation marks…

Friday 5: Wine I Love You night returns to Banyan, St 51 near 360, switching to a Friday, and taking me with it. $13 for free flow of wine. Only you don’t pay $13 if you don’t want to drink wine. Food if you want. 7.30 onwards. Will attempt to sing no American songs at all 😉

Saturday 6: The Lazy Drunks crawl back onto the stage at Sharky’s and quiver quietly by the wall. Or some such. From 9 pm.

Sunday 7: Sunday Sundowner Sessions from 4 – 7 pm at Rubies, cnr 19 & 240 Sts. Scoddy and a cast of thousands. This week it’s all about Les Beatles apres Les Beatles: individual slices of the Apple. For more information:

all these and much, much more around town this week can be searched through the voluminous weekly musjc listings at And then check and sign up at for the arts scene in Cambodia.
