Scott Bywater is a kind of a music guy who writes a bit: poet, singer, songwriter, guitar and harmonica player and music journalist.
He grew up in Tasmania, and now lives in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.
He was a founding member of The Cambodian Space Project, the WASH collaboration, and the Riverside Raybans. Current musical projects include The Extraordinary Chambers, Moi Tiet, The Sock Essentials as well as solo work.
His recordings, including full length albums from 1987 (Myself) and 2018 (From shore to shore) can be found at scoddy.bandcamp.com.
His poetry is published online as it happens at thesilverpepperofthestars.wordpress.com. From time to time collections are published and are available for sale.
He has been chief writer and editor for LengPleng.com, online live music magazine for Cambodia, since 2019. In 2019 and 2020 the year’s interviews were collected and published as Around the Traps and Around the Traps 2020.
